  • Special Notice: Due to Norwegian legislation, this tour includes payment for a overnight stay in a tent at our remote island in the Osterfjord. Notice that you dont need to utilize this, as this is solely to comply with the outdated Norwegian transportation law. In case you DO want to utilize this part of the tour, please notify the local supplier at the time of booking and a tent will be provided for your use. A 1500 USD security deposit must be paid for the tent. You will have to put up the tent yourself and make your way to the island on your own!

What To Expect

Your guide will meet you at your hotel reception for this small group private tour, at around 8 pm. Make sure you have proper clothing and shoes for a outdoor day and jump in the car with your guide. You will swiftly be brought out of town on a ride along the scenic E-16 towards Dale where the famous knitwear Dale of Norway is made. Enjoy waterfalls plunging down the mountain sides as your guide take you into one of the most narrow roads and start the climb towards the mountain tops.

 

After about two hours drive from the city (included sightseeing stops) you will be at the very top of the hairpin turns of mount Brekhus, where you exit the car to start your unforgettable ride downhill through the immensely beautiful Exinge Valley. Watch out, as you will need to use more force to slow down than power for pedaling.

 

The Exinge Valley is one of the best kept secrets of Bergens vicinity, and your local operator specializes in finding these rare to find experiences. This is a ride completely off the beaten track, and you will be far away from busses loaded with group travelers. In addition the Exinge Valley is simply perfect for a active day, without having to be a fitness star.

 

The valley consists of great natural scenery, and stunning 17 waterfalls as you follow the valleys special terraces downhill. The asphalt paved road is flat with almost no pedaling effort for those choosing the downhill experience, and as you descend to the next terrace - speed increases from the angle downwards. About midway down, you meet your personal guide again for a outdoor lunch (optional choice and additional cost) with  local salamis, cheese, and great sourdough bread. The grainy fibres gives your body a very good restauration, and you will be ready for the final leap.

 

Well down your guide will pick you and your fellow travelers up - heading out the fjord from the tiny village of Mo, and have you back in Bergen in time to shower and shape up before dinner time at the restaurant of your choice.

 

The tour totals at about 7 hours, but your guide will make sure that each travel party have a bicycle experience fitted to their personal physical condition. Notice - the tour is so easy that it very well can be done by children - so do not worry about it being to much to handle.
