Just imagine...
You are picked up near your hotel just as sun rises. Friendly guide makes small talk, while making mental notes of your preferences. You set out en route to Voss city, thinking that the road will be quite boring. Your surprise is immense when our observant guide starts pointing out scenic landscapes and telling interesting stories surrounding them. Later on the car stops near mesmerizing Tvindefossen waterfall, enjoy it’s beauty as well as make some pictures. This journey seems even more exciting than Oslo to Flam roadtrip!
Returning to your vehicle brings an understanding that you have ability instantly share photos of your friends with use of built-in wi-fi hotspot. Arriving in Stalheim region, feel awe brought on by the steepness of mountain road and its amazing views. Camera is must-have here, since no one can describe beautiful cascading waterfalls found here. No wonder this place is on World Heritage List! We strongly recommend passing this part on foot as it is a right way to experience wonderful atmosphere this place has. Don’t worry — your guide will wait at the end of Stalheimskleiva.
After that, why not cruise out of Naeroyfjord (own expense) and meet up with driver near quay in Flaam hamlet. This option became very popular with participants since Naeroyfjord is impassable for cars. As for those who are reluctant about such cruise, we offer visiting Bakka and Undredal.
Since going from Bergen to Flam is exciting, you may have not felt hunger building up. Well, now would be perfect for a little break and have lunch — the many restaurants here provide an ample service. If you are unsure which one is the right pick — knowlegeable guide can help out with an unbiased recommendation.
Life seems much more enjoyable after tasty meal, so it would be great time for visiting viewpoint at Stegastein, where fjords unveil in new perspective. The platform was specifically designed by Norwegian engineers, who made it blend in with surrounding land and not look like an eyesore.
Back at Flaam, why not further enhance your journey by taking a local railway's train (own expense) from fjords to mountain peaks. This is remarkable experience, since the carriage rises from sea level over three thousand feet! One must switch trains at Myrdal station and eventually arrive in Voss, where our guide picks you up again. While there, fill up your bottles with artesian water (VOSS) absolutely free.
Lastly, you will arrive back in Bergen on Flam to Bergen ferry, thus putting logical end to an amazing day spent exploring. You get dropped off right in front of your hotel so you can enjoy supper.
