This new exhilarating tour simply seems to underline that they have found another one!

Now, let's talk about food....!

Let's talk food traditions and let us not forget to talk Beer!!! Whom of which both dates back to the Vikings that used to live here.

Norwegians have a life expectancy outranking most nations of the world. And there is little doubt that their lifestyle is a major contributor to the populations general good health. A life in clean nature with plenty of exercise and good nutrition seems a proven "winner", and so does the food traditions. Salmon from this area is exported world wide, and can be found in the most exclusive restaurants of the US or in a Sushi plate in Tokyo. The food and beers you are about to enjoy is hand picked food from local farms and small scale producers that follows in the path of their ancestors. And the majority of the items on the table is available only in small countryside shops, and some is even so rare to find that it is specially collected just for your meal this day. We mention local cheeses, sour cream Herring, dried sheep meat and exclusive hams that have matured in farms where chemical food additives are unheard of.

Now, to beer!  Did you know that the art of brewing was almost eradicated in Norway only a few years ago? As a result of the pietism reaching Norway in the 1850's brewing became illegal in the homes. Beer was considered the drink of the "sinner", and laws came in affect to ban brewing. It is just in the deepest ends of the Fjords that the art survived due to the fact that Police did not have the resources make sure everyone complied with the laws. This ban actually lasted till 1999, when the Government removed the law to save the traditions. Brewers literally came stumbling out of their well hidden brewhouses, and now you can taste it for yourself.
